Autolog was founded in Edmonton, Alberta as a joint venture between GPS experts and accountants. The accountants were looking for a way to help their clients keep track of business mileage because so few of them kept a mileage log. So the GPS experts proposed the idea of a device that could automatically log the mileage of their clients, and Autolog was born.
